Comments: The calm after the storm! Many birds in the sky and on the move. A bit quite initially but soon got going with a moderately high mipit count with birds moving thinly all morning on a broad front and mainly south. Following the increasing Greenfinch and Chaffinch counts over the last few days (Saturday excepted) only a few passed this way this morning! Interesting was an apparent move of Magpies with a group of seven going south along with several singles spread over the morning. Gulls with the exception of the breaking roost seem to have moved through now with a continuing dearth today. Pinkfooted goose skeins were noted going SW: 19 > @ 0745 and 10 > @ 0905.
