Weather and Sky:
A fair weather morning but with increasing cloud and wind, which all the time was turning towards the north.. Wind: initially WNW F2 @ 0700hr, ultimately becoming N F5. Temp: 9 initially, becoming 15 by 1100hr. Visibility: >Leck Fell / Humber Bridge. Cloud: initially open sky 0ok @ 0700, becoming cu humilis 2ok by 0900hr and increasing cu mediocris, merging to stratocumulus 5ok by 1100hrs. Pressure: static 1020hpa.


Another generally poor morning but notable for Sand Martins on the move. Two groups of four were seen moving west along the ridge to our south and a single was noted on approach from the north-west, passing overhead and away south-east. Few Swifts were moving, with only 17 counted, going in various directions, with even fewer Swallows, mainly west. Only three Meadow Pipits were seen.
